NSA South East Region - Annual Members Meeting

Date: 7th February 2018

Time: 4pm

Location: The Angel Hotel, Gosport Road, Privett, West Tisted, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 3NN

The NSA South East Region Annual Members Meeting brought together around 50 people on Wednesday evening, with officer elections followed by some top-notch speakers.

Wiltshire farmer Nigel Durnford was elected as the new regional chairman, with Andrew Barr finishing his stint in the seat but continuing as NSA Trustee. John Britton replaces Nigel regional treasurer with Jann Ledu taking the role of regional vice chairman.

Phil Stocker, NSA Chief Executive, reports on the presentations that followed. He says: “Wiltshire farmer Richard Taylor kicked off the presentations speaking of his experiences as an NSA Next Generation Ambassador before Gordon Wyeth, Farmers Weekly Farmer of the Year 2016, discussed his operation of some 10,000 ewes. With a presentation from Joe Farren, Chief Executive of British Wool, an update on NSA work from myself and Dr Kenton-Hart from Scotmin talking about ewe nutrition, this was an well organised and action packed event.”
