NSA Annual General Meeting 2016

NSA held its 123rd Annual General Meeting on Tuesday at the University of Bristol Vet School, Langford on Tuesday 9th August. The AGM all went according to plan, with His Grace the Duke of Montrose being elected for a further year as NSA President, Dave Gregory continuing as NSA Honorary Treasurer, and all NSA Vice Presidents re-elected. The AGM was followed by an update on current activity by NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker and NSA Communication Officer Hannah Park, who highlighted some of the work of the NS

A. A tour around the Bristol University Vet School facilities was preceded by some fascinating updates on current research work: David Main gave an overview of the university’s work with farm animals; Kate Still described work with welfare indicators as part of assurance schemes (Assurewel); Kristen Reyher updated visitors on antimicrobial resistance; Mike Lee discussed ongoing the work of North Wyke; and the renowned internal parasite expert Gerald Coles talked about resistance, faecal egg counting and reduction tests.
