NSA Northern Ireland Region Annual Members Meeting Meeting 2016

NSA Northern Ireland Region held its Annuals Members Meeting 2016 on Monday 21st November at AFBI premises in Hillsborough, County Down. Formal business concluded no changes to regional office holders and these remain with Campbell Tweed Chairman, Brian Jaimison as Vice Chairman and Ian McDonnell as Treasurer.
A number of speakers followed formal proceedings. Edward Adamson, NSA NI Region Development Officer, reports: “Held as an open meeting, the main subject of the evening was liver fluke, which lent itself to several informative and interesting talks and much debate from the audience. Dr Philip Skuce of Moredun spoke about symptoms and treatment. Dr Jason Barley and Aurelie Aubry from Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute outlined reasons they feel farmers should implement their own flock health plan and explained the programme they have introduced to participating farms and what they hope to achieve. An update from NSA Communications Manager Joanne Briggs concluded the evening.”
