NSA Scottish Region/Caltech Crystalyx Roadshow 3

Date: 17th January 2017

Time: 6.30pm

Location: Weigh Inn Hotel & Lodges, Burnside,Thurso, KW14 7UG

This month saw NSA Scottish Region’s latest series of roadshow meetings come to an end. Held in conjunction Caltech Crystalyx, some 45 farmers heard a talk from the company’s Euan Hart, after which Iain MacDonald from QMS spoke on factors affecting the lamb price and trade looking ahead.

George Milne, NSA Scottish Region Development Officer, says: “Speaking on behalf of NSA Scottish Region, I concluded the evening with an update on the region’s current and ongoing work. Brexit and the announcement that day from the Prime Minister that the UK was unlikely to be part of the single market was a hot subject for the evening, along with many other policy issues. Questions at the end of the evening led to a good debate about the sheep industry. These meetings have certainly been a great opportunity to present the important work NSA Scottish Region carries out on behalf of farmers, not to mention a great way of connecting with both members and non-members present. On behalf of NSA Scottish Region, I would like to sincerely thank Caltech Crystalx for their generous sponsorship of all three meetings this winter.”
