NSA Scottish Region/Caltech Crystalyx Roadshow 1

Date: 30th November 2016

Time: 6.30pm

Location: Best Western Moffat House Hotel, High Street, Moffat, DG10 9HL

The latest series of NSA Scottish Region roadshow meetings, being held in conjunction with Caltech Crystalx, began in November 2016 in Moffat with a great turnout of some 50 farmers.

George Milne, NSA Scottish Region Development Officer, says: “The evening began with a compressive talk from Euan Hart of Caltech Crystalx on improving nutrition and management of breeding ewes over the winter period and prior to lambing with the use of extra high energy buckets. Also speaking was QMS’s Stuart Ashworth, who covered a number of issues with the potential to impact on the lamb price over the next few years. I was the last speaker and covered NSA Scottish Region’s current and ongoing work in what it does on behalf the sheep industry. With Brexit priorities being high on the agenda, never has there been a more important time to connect with Government and ministers about the important role that sheep farmers play in the social, economic and environmental aspects of the rural countryside.”
