Win wellies at this summer’s NSA events

11th May 2015

Visit an NSA sheep event this summer, keep in touch with the sheep industry and win a fabulous pair of wellies. That is the message to NSA members, sheep farmers, friends and family across the UK.

The National Sheep Association has teamed up with Dunlop to host a free prize draw open to anyone who attends the five regional NSA sheep events this summer.

  • NSA Welsh Sheep | Tuesday 19th May | Glanmiheli & Drefor Farms, Kerry, Newton, Powys, SY16 4LN
  • NSA North Sheep | Wednesday 3rd June | Millstone Moor Farm, Cockermouth, Cumbria, CA13 0QA
  • NSA Highland Sheep | Tuesday 9th June | Fearn Farm, Tain, Ross-shire, IV20 1TL
  • NSA Sheep SW | Tuesday 16th June | Higher Nichols Nymet, Nichols Nymet, North Tawton, EX20 2BP
  • NSA Sheep NI | Monday 6th July, Ballymena Market, Woodside Road, Ballymena, Country Antrim, BT42 4QJ.

NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker says: "On top of everything that NSA sheep events already have to offer, we are excited to also be giving away a brand new pair of wellies to one lucky visitors to each show. These wellies are absolutely fantastic and a must for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors ."

There will be a choice of two different styles - the Dunlop Purofort Professional full safety, with a steel toe cap and midsole, or the Dunlop Purofort Vallay, a new style of outdoor performance boot with leather trimming. Both come with Purofort technology, which means they are lightweight, warm and insulated. They also last three times longer and they are more supple than rubber wellies.

Mr Stocker adds: “This year we are anticipating a great turnout and many of the events are proving to be bigger than ever, so there will be lots to see and do. Pop in and see us at one of the NSA events and enter our free prize draw. We will be glad to see you and talk about any sheep-related issues that may be on your mind. You don’t have to be an NSA member to enter the draw and the NSA events always prove to be a great day out for anyone involved in the sheep sector.

“If you don’t happen to already be an NSA member, I urge you to consider joining up, as many of our events offer free entry for members. There is a completely separate prize draw for members this year, with NSA giving away 12 EID stick readers. Go online or come and find out more at one of the events.”

All the events will include a wide range of other attractions, including young shepherd competitions, technical trade stand areas, seminars and demonstrations. Farmers markets, Ready-Steady-Cook competitions, breed society exhibits and sheepdog sales will also be on the agenda at a number of the events.
