The wider consequences of the introduction of Eurasian lynx to the UK

This NSA report on the proposed introduction of lynx to the UK, published on Friday 8th April 2016, clearly identifies concerns around the project, not just because of the anticipated predation on sheep.

The report was written in response to Lynx Trust UK claims that introduction of the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) would boost rural economies and ecology and regenerate forests. The initial trial period of five years would see four to six wild adult lynx released at three sites in Aberdeenshire, Northumberland, Cumbria or Norfolk.
