NSA South West Region and AHDB Carcase losses event

Date: 24th September 2018

Location: Wydon Farm, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 8SJ

Join NSA, AHDB Beef and Lamb and the Exmoor Hill Farming Network to find out more about minimising carcase losses in lambs.

With increasingly tight financial margins in lamb production and processing, it is vital to minimise losses throughout the supply chain. Farmers can maximise their financial returns by concentrating on efficient animal growth, meeting target carcase specifications and minimising the losses of saleable meat and offal. Conditions such as pasteurella and parasitic worms not only cause rejection of offal and carcases at slaughter, but have a big impact on the performance of growing lambs.
