NSA South West Ram Sale

In this very different year there was a high quality of sheep forward for the sale. We’re pleased that most people had face coverings and observed social distancing.
The top priced sheep was a Suffolk from Andrew & Wendy Reed that sold for 1200gns. The Suffolk ring was buzzing and EW Quick & Sons sold one for 1150gns.
For the first time this year, because of Covid19 Charollais’ and Texels were sold in the store cattle ring, this allowed plenty of room for purchasers. EW Quick & Sons had a tremendous day where they topped the Charollais with shearling rams for 720gns and 700gns, prices that were replicated for their CharTex’s.
They also had the top price of 1050gns in the Texel ring, followed by Robert (Sale chairman) & Rebecca Jordan at 950 gns, this price was also achieved x 2 by Phil & Lesley Martyn-Uglow.
The other sheep at 950gns was a Beltex from James & Belinda Kimber who had travelled from Chippenham.
All in all a successful day for the SW region and we consider ourselves fortunate that the facilities we enjoy at Exeter allowed us to hold the sale.
