NSA Welsh Sheep 2023

Excitement is building for Welsh Sheep 2023, to be held in Mid Wales on Tuesday 16th May. Sponsors, trade exhibitors and industry leaders are eager to share with flockmasters the latest knowledge and developments.
It promises to be a good day out. The venue, Redhouse Farm, Aberhafesp, rises to 855 feet above sea level and affords sweeping views down to the Severn Valley. Hosts Huw and Sioned Owen, with their son, Dafydd, of Redhouse Farm, Aberhafesp, are also keen to share farming’s story with local schools and colleges.
They run 1,000 Texel cross ewes, together with Dafydd’s flock of 55 pedigree Beltex sheep. There are a hundred pedigree Limousin suckler cows, mostly registered. They also run a flock of a hundred pedigree Texel sheep.
40 different breeds of sheep will be showcased. There will be around 170 trade stands, as well as competitions and trade stands. Welshpool livestock auctioneer and farmer, Glandon Lewis, will open the event.
