With so many routes open to sheep farmers considering diversification, NSA invites you to a lunchtime webinar looking at two completely different options – tourist accommodation and carbon offsetting.

This webinar will be chaired by Antony Spencer, NSA Marches Region Chairman and a Warwickshire sheep farmer with a portable toilet business.

Firstly attendees will hear from Olivia Cook, Pitchup. The demand for ‘staycations’ has never been higher. Pitchup.com is a booking platform for more than 4,000 campsites, including around 800 farms. Olivia will explain how landowners are earning up to £80k per year with temporary ‘pop-up’ campsites and how to take advantage of the new ‘56-day’ planning exemption this year.

Secondly, attendees will hear from Harry Grocott, Treeconomy. Climate change targets mean the ‘carbon offset’ market is becoming increasingly important – with real opportunities for farmers and landowners to generate income from tree planting. Treeconomy helps create projects that are financially viable and future-proofed for potential changes within the voluntary carbon market.

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions to all speakers which will be answered at the end of the session.
