NSA Marches Region and AHDB Beef and Lamb carcase losses events
Date: 25th September 2018
Time: 4pm
Location: New House Farm, Weston Jones, Newport, Shropshire, TF10 8ED
Join NSA and AHDB Beef and Lamb to find out more about minimising carcase losses in lambs by kind permission of Brian and Toby Lawton
With increasingly tight financial margins in lamb production and processing, it is vital to minimise losses throughout the supply chain. Farmers can maximise their financial returns by concentrating on efficient animal growth, meeting target carcase specifications and minimising the losses of saleable meat and offal. Conditions such as pasteurella and parasitic worms not only cause rejection of offal and carcases at slaughter, but have a big impact on the performance of growing lambs.
