RoSA Webinar: Sustainable Soils - what it means for ewe

Date: 20th December 2022

Time: 6.30pm

It is often thought that soils under grass are in good health however, this is not always the case. Understanding soils is a fundamental element of producing profitable grassland. We are pleased to announce that on the 20th December at 18:30pm RoSA will be hosting a webinar; ‘Sustainable Soils – What it means for ewe’, to dig a little deeper into sustainable soils.

We will be joined by two guest speakers. First, Katie Evans, National Specialist for Grass Forage and Soil at the AHDB will be joining us to talk about the principles of soil health. Katie has a huge amount of experience in grassland and soil management including linking nutritional requirements and pasture supply for grazing livestock and improving efficiency whilst becoming more environmentally sustainable.

Katie will be followed by arable and sheep farmer, John Pawsey. John will give us an insight into how he manages soils on his farm in Suffolk and the importance of soil health from a personal perspective.

For any RoSA members who were unable to attend this event but would still like to claim CPD points then all you need to do is watch the webinar recording and then click the following link - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/6L78WBY This will take you to a short quiz covering the key topics in the webinar, with CPD points being awarded once this has been successfully completed.
