NSA Next Generation event - J36

Date: 7th November 2019

Time: 10am

Location: J36 Rural Auction Centre, nr Kendal, Cumbria, LA7 7NU

For the first time since the launch of the NSA Next Generation programme, two annual winter conferences took place recently, the first on Tuesday 5th November at Sedgemoor Livestock market and the second on Thursday 7th November at Junction 36 Rural Auction Centre, Cumbria. Offering two events this year meant that an increased number of attendees were able to be welcomed to the free conferences offering younger sheep farmers the opportunity to hear from industry experts on topics such as how to access grazing to tips on how to combat liver fluke. Organising the events, NSA Communications Officer, Katie James reports: “The NSA Next Generation Winter Conference is always a popular event and this year was no exception with young farmers and students joining us from far afield. As always, we were very lucky to be joined by some excellent speakers offering targeted advice for those younger people involved in the industry as well as NSA Next Generation Ambassadors delivering information to attendees on how they add value to their farming enterprises in different ways. Thanks must go to all of our speakers, without whom the events could not happen. Thanks should also go to all the young people who joined us for their enthusiasm both at the events and that shown for the future of our industry”
