NSA Marches Region Annual Members Meeting 2020

Moving slightly further north in the region NSA Marches Region officeholders and committee members were pleased to welcome many new interested faces to their Annual Regional Managers Meeting (ARMM) on Wednesday 29th January featuring a top name from the sheep veterinary world.

The meeting saw few changes to officeholders, with only one change in position with Richard Vines stepping up from the committee to take on the position of Vice Chairman. Richard was also elected as the new regional representative for the NSA English Committee.

NSA Marches Region Chairman Ant Spencer gave a reflective look back on the region’s activity during 2019 that has included a varied offering of farm walks, Next Generation Shepherds training day and engaging talk from industry partners. Amt also took time to welcome newly selected NSA Marches Region Next Generation Ambassadors for the year ahead, Annie Carr and Beth Jones.

Following the formal business of the ARMM leading sheep vet Phillipa Page from Flock Health Ltd led an engaging and interesting discussion on nutrition in the lead up to, during and after lambing and some key health issues to be considering to ensure performance is optimised. 

Also joining the meeting was NSA Policy Officer Ellie Phipps who gave a thorough summary of NSA’s recent involvement on many recent and ongoing policy issues.
