Join the iSAGE ( Innovation for Sustainable Sheep and Goat Production in Europe) workshops on innovations in the sheep and goat industries this December! NSA South West Region Visit to Rothamstead

Thank you to the staff at Rothamsted Research North Wyke facility for an extremely interesting visit. NSA members and others were treated to two informative talks highlighting the breadth and depth of the work being undertaken at the site to better understand the interactions between livestock and the environment.

Setting the sheep farming record straight - An evening meeting

Join NSA for an evening discussing the arguments the sheep industry can present to defend itself against the recent barrage of criticism against it. NSA speakers will look at the positive role of sheep farming in the environment, British Wool will join the evening to discuss welfare at shearing and levy body speakers will cover the nutritional benefits of eating red meat.

NSA and British Wool were joined by Alex Ritchie, QMS Health and Education Manager at its latest ‘Setting the sheep farming record straight’ meeting at Forfar, Angus on Thursday 7th November. Chaired by NSA Scottish region past Chairman John Fyall, the meeting attracted a good number of attendees who engaged in some lively discussion about how we need to promote our industry positively in light of recent unfounded criticism.
