NSA Northern Ireland Region calls for improved understanding on climate change ahead of Private Members Bill

7th May 2021

NSA Northern Ireland Region has joined with other industry stakeholders to highlight the potential devastating impact a bill proposing a 50% reduction in livestock numbers in the country could have if it were to be accepted following a debate on Monday (10th May 2021).

The private members' bill, proposed by Claire Bailey of the Green Party, would, if approved lead to the loss of approximately 50,000 jobs in the Agricultural industry by 2045.
