NSA Scottish Region ARMM

25th February 2022

Time: 3pm

Location: Online and at United Auctions Stirling Market

NSA Scottish Region held its Annual Regional Members Meeting (ARMM) at United Auctions Stirling last Friday. Attendees approved Jen Craig to continue in her role as Regional Chair, Maimie Paterson as Vice Chair, Mary Dunlop as Regional Treasurer, and Aileen McFadzean and Peter Myles as Regional Trustees. Jen Craig was also formally elected as the Scottish representative for the NSA UK Policy & Technical Committee, having stood in as the representative for much of the previous year. Following formal business, NSA Scottish Region welcomed Dr Chris Coussens from Moredun who delivered an update on Ovine Pulmonary Adenocarcinoma (OPA) and its hold on the Scottish sheep sector. The region has recently been asked to chair the newly formed Scottish Government OPA working group, which will work alongside the Scottish Government sheep scab working group to progress sheep health and welfare stances and initiatives. NSA Scottish Region Chair Jen Craig comments: “Following the impact of covid-19 on NSA Scot Sheep, the region still has some difficult decisions to get us back on track - but I am confident the plan for the next year and into the future will allow us to go from strength to strength. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the regional committee and members for their continued support. Here’s hoping we get to see a lot more of each other in 2022, which is my final year as regional Chair.”
