NSA launches ‘Getting into farming’ Next Generation Webinar

The National Sheep Association (NSA), is excited to announce its first webinar aimed at young people on Wednesday 3rd June 2020 7pm -8.30pm. The webinar, titled ‘Getting Started in Sheep Farming' promises to teach new farming entrepreneurs several key skills needed to get started in farming.

 

NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker explains: “The Next Generation has always been a very important area of work for NSA and we are pleased to be in a position to deliver this event and hope to inspire some young people to get involved in our versatile and broad industry.”

 

Attendees will hear from four speakers, John Fyall, an experienced Agricultural Valuer and Past NSA Scottish Region Chairman, Adriana Vaux from the Tenant Farmers Association along with two of this year’s Next Generation Ambassador group Amy Jo Reid and Dylan Laws.

The event will cross off four important areas that are vital to consider when beginning life working in the sheep sector. These areas are: how to set up a business plan and what should be included; top tips on what to do and what not to do when first starting out; managing a work/life balance; and personal attributes needed and when to know your limits.
