We're recruiting! NSA hunt for new Technical Support Officer

29th October 2015

The creation of a new position means there is an exciting opportunity to join the NSA team. The hunt is on to find a Technical Support Officer, initially on a 12-month fixed contract for three days a week.

The Technical Support Officer will work on the delivery of key projects to benefit NSA members, in particular the delivery of the flagship NSA Next Generation project, and also support policy activities through research, analysis and and preparation of material.

The right candidate will have experience or practical knowledge of sheep farming and good organisational, analytical and writing skills. The role would suit someone who has built experience following a degree-type course, or someone already involved in the farming policy and support sector.

Although predominantly an office-based role the tasks will require the post holder to attend events, meetings and shows on a fairly regular basis, communicating proactively with members, potential members and other stakeholders. They would ideally be based in Malvern, Worcestershire, but other options can be explored for the right candidate. Salary is in the region of £24k full-time pro-rata.

Closing date for applications Monday 23rd November 2015. For more information or to reques and application form, please email julie@nationalsheep.org.uk.
