NSA presses Ministers in England to strengthen legislation on sheep worrying attacks by dogs
The National Sheep Association (NSA) is urging ministers to take advantage of current legislation passing through Parliament and legislate to put a stop to shocking incidents of sheep worrying by dogs. NSA believes the Animal Welfare (Kept Animals) Bill currently progressing through its various Parliamentary stages offers a prime opportunity to bring much needed action.

NSA astonished by detrimental impact of Australia deal on UK Farming
National Sheep Association (NSA) is astonished by the continued dismissal by the Government on the detrimental impact the UK-Australia trade deal will have on UK Farming. Following the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) own impact assessment which states a ‘reallocation of resources away from agriculture, forestry, and fishing’ of around £94 million, the Association is pressing for proper and urgent scrutiny of the deal by Parliament and the Trade and Agriculture Commission (TAC).

NSA angered by trade deal that threatens UK sheep sector
Following the formal signing of a new trade deal between the UK and Australia yesterday (Thursday) evening that will give Australia free access to the UK sheep meat market NSA is expressing its grave disappointment.
