With regret, NSA postpones 2021 events
It is with regret that the National Sheep Association (NSA) has made the difficult and disappointing decision to postpone its major regional events this year. Despite the promise of an ease of lockdown and ultimate removal of Covid-19 restrictions as 2021 progresses, NSA regional event organising committees are unanimous in their decision to sadly postpone this year’s events.

NSA launches survey to gain further insight on the shocking impact of sheep worrying by dogs.
With increasing numbers of devastating dog attacks on livestock continuing to be reported the National Sheep Association (NSA) today, Monday 22nd February, launches its 2021 sheep worrying by dogs survey and invites all UK sheep farmers to contribute to this important piece of research.

Scottish Government Consultation - FAWC Opinion on the Welfare of Animals during Transport
All NSA Scotland members are reminded of the closing date (Friday 26th February 2021) to the upcoming Scottish Government’s consultation on the Farm Animal Welfare Committee – Opinion on the Welfare of Animals during Transport. NSA offers farmers chance to win sustainably produced farm equipment
The National Sheep Association (NSA) is delighted to announce it is teaming up with quality recycled product manufacturer Solway Recycling for its 2021/22 membership prize giveaway. The collaboration will see four lucky winners receiving one of two prizes from a range of useful and sustainably produced sheep equipment, including a six-bay easy-access lamb adopter or a lamb warming box with three deluxe sheep pens in a row.

Appreciation of UK sheep sector secures win for NSA followers.
National Sheep Association (NSA) was delighted to give away a range of fictional books centred around the topic of sheep farming to its supporters late in 2020. To enter the competition NSA invited its social media followers to share their thoughts on why they value the UK sheep sector and were pleased to receive a good number of encouraging and uplifting entries that clearly demonstrated a passion for the industry.

NSA Chairmanship passed to East Anglian sheep farmer
The National Sheep Association (NSA) is pleased to announce sheep farmer Dan Phipps as its new Board of Trustees Chairman. A sheep farmer from East Anglia, Mr Phipps was elected at the NSA Board Meeting yesterday (Thursday 21st January) and will commence a three year term in the role.

Defra Minister pledges support for UK sheep sector
The National Sheep Association (NSA) welcomed Minister for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Victoria Prentis MP as guest speaker at the first of its new Breakfast Club webinars on Wednesday. Joining NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker and NSA Chairman Bryan Griffiths, Minister Prentis engaged with a large online audience discussing the current challenges faced by the UK sheep sector.
