Revisions to SACGS Claims procedure
The Scottish Government has been made aware that there are problems with the supplies of certain items of equipment that are available through SACGS meaning that those items of equipment may be delivered beyond the 31st March deadline for claims to be submitted.

NSA update to media about the impact of Brexit on the UK sheep sector
NSA is experiencing a high number of media enquiries that suggest there is a fundamental misunderstanding of how a failure to reach a free trade deal with the EU might impact on the sheep farming sector. At its more extreme there is a suggestion that the industry will need to call on Government to support a mass cull and disposal scheme, and there is also an assumption that individual sheep farmers export lambs to the EU.

NSA expresses deep concern at recent spate of attacks on sheep by dogs
The National Sheep Association (NSA) is calling for visitors to the countryside to show more consideration and respect for the land, people who farm it, and livestock. NSA has received an alarming increase in reports of attacks on sheep by dogs over recent weeks, most likely linked to national lockdowns across England and Wales.

Scottish sheep producers call on government to come clean
NSA Scotland and The Scottish Crofting Federation (SCF) have joined their voices in calling on the UK Government to give more clarity to the Scottish sheep industry in the event of failure to reach an agreement with Europe on trading terms. “The tups are going out“, said Jen Craig, NSA Scotland’s chair, “and there is still no plan being put forward by the UK Government on what will be done to support sheep producers should there be no deal, or an inadequate deal, struck with Europe.

NSA SCOTLAND RESPONDS TO RT HON GEORGE EUSTICE MP COMMENTS ON LAMB TARIFFS IN THE EVENT OF A NO DEAL BREXIT
The Rt Hon George Eustice MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, appeared today (15 November 2020) on the Andrew Marr show.
