NSA raises concerns with Natural England about proposed eagle release
Responding to concerns raised by its members, the National Sheep Association (NSA) is challenging proposals to release white-tailed sea eagles on the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of England. NSA understands the Roy Dennis Foundation and the Forestry Commission have formally lodged an application to Natural England to release birds during the summer of 2019.

NSA disputes claim of Lynx UK Trust that it has '100% landowner approval'
NSA has made the following statement in response to a Lynx UK Trust press release issued today (Wednesday 8th August) claiming 'major landowners responsible for 700km2 of potential Eurasian lynx habitat in the Kielder Forest region have approved access for lynx during the planned trial reintroduction'.

Kennel Club Joins Scottish Rural Organisations Backing “Sheep-wise” Social Media Campaign
The Kennel Club, the UK’s largest organisation dedicated to protecting and promoting the health and welfare of dogs, has added its support to a “sheep-wise” video produced by Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) and the National Sheep Association. A host of other organisations are also supporting the video, which warns the public about the consequences of failing to control their dogs in the countryside, including the Scottish SPCA, Police Scotland, the British Veterinary Association, NFU Scotland, Scottish Land & Estates and Scottish Natural Heritage.
