Competitors at the ready for NSA Sheep 2018!
Shepherding skills, fencing prowess and wool quality will all be put to the test in an exciting array of competitions at the National Sheep Association’s (NSA) Sheep 2018 this summer. A highlight of the flagship event of the NSA, which takes place on Wednesday 18th July at the Three Counties Showground, Worcestershire, will be the national final of the NSA Next Generation Shepherd of the Year competition, sponsored by the Texel Sheep Society.

Two NSA awards recognise exceptional contribution to the sheep sector
The National Sheep Association (NSA) has presented awards to recognise the work of two individuals, both of whom have gone above and beyond to promote the sheep sector and organise events for farmers. More than 400 sheep farmers and industry representatives saw the presentations, held at an NSA sheep industry dinner on Tuesday (26th July), the evening before NSA Sheep 2016 at the Three Counties Showground, Worcestershire.

‘Tremendous interest’ at NSA Sheep 2016 sheepdog sale sees 2,750gns top price
Auctioneers Clee, Tompkinson & Francis report that ‘tremendous interest’ was expressed in the sale of working sheepdogs by a large crowd at NSA Sheep 2016, held at Malvern, Worcestershire. Of the 27 dogs presetned, 23 changed hands to buyers from Cornwall to Derbyshire.
