George Eustice MP to open NSA Sheep Event
George Eustice, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Natural Environment, Water and Rural Affairs, will be officially opening NSA Sheep 2014 on Wednesday 30th July 2014. Being held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, the opening ceremony will be taking place at 10am on the NSA stand (Wye Hall 3, stand 89).

Tackling sheep scab remains a priority for the industry

NSA Sheep Event shearing competition powered by solar
For the first time, the National Sheep Event’s shearing competition is to be powered by sunshine. The solar panels are to be located in the brand new renewable energy area adjacent to the shearing shed. “The NSA shearing competition always draws a good crowd, mainly due to the high calibre of entrants and this year will be no exception as renewable energy is introduced to play a key role in the event,” says British Wool Marketing Board Shearing Trainer and NSA South West Regional Vice Chairman Alan Derryman.

NSA Sheep 2012 attracts record turnout
NSA Sheep 2012, the sector’s biennial premier business to business event staged at Malvern on Wednesday 4 July was hailed a resounding success attracting a record turnout of over 11,000 visitors doing business with 250 exhibitors. The event was opened by chief government scientist, Sir John Beddington who argued that its theme, sustainable intensification, was essential for the industry’s future.
