Young sheep farmers welcomed at new NSA conference

As part of NSA’s crucial work to support the future of the sector, the National Sheep Association (NSA) is giving five lucky young sheep farmers the chance to attend its inaugural Sheep Farmers’ Conference taking place later this month for free.
The new event will welcome sheep farmers and industry professionals from across the UK to its venue at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham on Wednesday 25th October 2023. The convenient location offers superb road, rail and airport links making the event accessible for all.
The giveaway of tickets to five young sheep enthusiasts, aged 18 to 35, follows a series of NSA activities as part of its NSA Next Generation programme that provides personal and career development opportunities to help support those seeking to make a future career in the UK sheep industry.
NSA Communications Manager Katie James says: “Attendance at this exciting, new event can provide young farmers who have an interest in developing their sheep flock or career as a shepherd with the perfect opportunity to hear from some of the country’s leading experts on a range of research topics. It will also be an excellent networking event with chance to speak informally with some well-known names from the world of sheep production.”
The conference, that is sponsored by major industry names, including Shearwell Data as its Major Sponsor, will include three seminar sessions as well as a series of small interactive workshops in the discussion theatre giving attendees a fantastic chance to hear the very latest news and information that will assist in improving flock health and farm production.
Young sheep enthusiasts simply have to complete a short online form available on the NSA website with their reason for wanting to attend the conference for their chance to win one of the available free tickets for the event. Entries close on Thursday 12th October 2023.
