NSA AGM

Notice is hereby given that the 130th Annual General Meeting of the National Sheep Association will be held on Saturday 12th August, 11am at the Rutland Stud, Saxon Street, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 9RS, by kind permission of the Godolphin Management Co. Ltd.
- The AGM will transact the following business: To approve the minutes of 129th Annual General Meeting; to receive and adopt the Trustees Report and Statements of Accounts to year ended 31st December 2022; and to elect officers for the ensuring year (President and Honorary Treasurer), Vice Presidents and auditors. A meeting agenda and minutes of the 2022 meeting can be downloaded from this page, and the Trustees Report/Statement of Accounts can be viewed here; please note that while the report/accounts are a final draft, they are not due to be signed off by the NSA Trustees until the Board meeting the day before the AGM.
- By order of the Board, members are entitled to submit their votes in advance of the meeting by completing a proxy form or to appoint a person to attend and vote on their behalf. All singed and completed proxy forms must be received by 11am on Thursday 10th August 2023. Download a proxy form on this page.
- For people unable to attend in person, there is the option to join online - but please note that, while we are fairly confident about the internet signal strength, the meeting is being held inside a farm building so we cannot guarenatee connectivity. Godolphin is kindly opening its gates from 10.30am, to allow visitors to arrive in good time for the meeting. Attendance is open to all, but only NSA members can vote at the AGM. There is no need to register in advance if you plan to attend in person. The formal part of the meeting will be followed by short updated from Lord Inglewood, NSA President, and Phil Stocker, NSA Chief Executive.
In the afternoon of the same day, Godolphin is also hosting the NSA Eastern Region Next Generation Event. AGM attendees are very welcome to stay to support this event for younger sheep farmers and enjoy a farm walk taking in the North Country Mule-based sheep flock. The sheep are managed by Dan Phipps, Farm Manager, NSA Chair and Farmers Weekly Sheep Farmer of the Year nominee. The farm walk will showcase the flock management and how the sheep are an important grazing management tool on the horse stud. There is no need to register in advance, unless you are aged under 27 and want to compete in the Next Generation Shepherd Competition.
Refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the day.
