Royal Highland Show - Fleece competition at NSA stand

The exhibition of fleeces will be open to the public on the first day of the Show. Judging of the fleece will take place at 9am on Thursday morning by judge David Swinton. A presentation of prizes will be held at 3.30pm on Thursday 22nd June.

Classes:

1. Extra fine (including Merino and Merino Cross)

2. Fine (including Down and Down Cross)

3. Medium (including Half-Bred, Kent, Texel, Lleyn)

4. Cross (including Greyace, Mule, Masham)

5. Lustre (including Bluefaced Leicester, Wensleydale, Lincoln, Devon and Cotswold)

6. Hill (including Cheviot, Shetland, Improved Welsh, Radnor, Exmoor, Gritstone and Lonk)

7. Mountain (including Blackface, Swaledale, Rough Fell, Welsh mountain and Dalesbred)

8. Naturally coloured (including Jacob, Herdwick, Black Welsh Mountain, or any other naturally colourd pure-bred or cross-bred fleece)

9. Naturally coloured (Pure-bred Shetland)
