Dates of 'Stamp Out Scab' Roadshow for vets and SQPs announced

17th June 2013

Sheep scab and other skin parasites:  Vet and SQP training sessions: June/July 2013

As part of the RDPE-funded England-wide campaign to help Stamp out Scab, training sessions have been designed to help vets and SQPs more fully understand the control options available to farmers and to help their clients to deal with scab more effectively.

The sessions will highlight the key role that vets play in diagnosing the problem and giving advice on which treatment is most suitable for each farm, and the role and responsibility that SQPs have in selling the products for most effective control of sheep scab and other skin parasites.

We aim to make the sessions as interactive as possible and there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion.

The training is free to attend and will attract CPD points for SQPs. Following the training vets will be paid to deliver the key messages to their own clients and full details will be provided at the events.
