NSA responds to Defra call for evidence on live exports

25th May 2018

NSA has now submitted its response to the Defra call for evidence on live exports and welfare in transport.

NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker comments: “ We have actually submitted two related responses to this call for evidence; one using the online response facility and then another in depth paper that was led by long standing NSA member and expert on livestock transport, Hamish Waugh, a hill farmer in the Scottish borders who in addition drives for a large livestock haulier."

It is important to note that this is a call for evidence and not a consultation; we would expect this work to be followed by a consultation on proposals in future months.
