PROGRAMME OF EVENTS- NSA WELSH SHEEP 2019

9.00am Gates open to public.

9.00am – 5.00pm Trade stands and sheep Breed Society Stands open to the public.

7.30am – 4.00pm Sheepdog trial – three Sessions with 80 dogs entered this will take place at Glynllifon. Organised by Arwel Owen

8.30am Judging of the best trade stand and best sheep breed society stand along with the Wool on the Hoof competition.

9.00 – 2.30pm Next Generation Shepherd Competition - watch the Welsh young shepherds of the future sort finishing lambs for slaughter, demonstrate handling, vaccinating and dosing techniques, shearing and putting an ATV through its paces among other things.

9.00am Judging of Pair of Hogg/Yearling ewe competition.

9.30am - Go to see the SRUC scanner which will be visiting the event

9.30am – Bimeda mobile dipper on display providing demos throughout the day.

9.30am – 4.00pm Demonstrations on various stands throughout the day

10.00am ‘Gear Maintenance’ workshops run by British Wool.

10.30am Opening Ceremony - Grŵp Llandrillo Menai chief executive officer Dafydd Evans

10.00am – 3.30pm Farm tour – To take in the spectacular views and livestock that the farm has to offer. Precision Grazing Mainline sponsor will be updating people on the tour about Techno Grazing. Wox will also provide a demonstration as part of the tour.

11.00am Welsh Sheep Dog Society – Demonstration will be repeated.

11.00am Announce the winner of the best indoor and outdoor trade stands; best sheep breed stand and Best Wool on the Hoof to take place at the Opening Ceremony.

4.30pm Sale of Pair of Hoggs. 4.00pm Presentation of prizes for the Welsh Next Generation Young Shepherd of the Year Texel Stand.
