National Sheep Association is looking to fill two roles, one full-time permanent and one part-time temporary. Both are based at the organisation's Head Office at Malvern, Worcestershire, to be part of a small, friendly and enthusiastic team work within the membership charity supporting and promoting sheep farming in the UK.

The successful candidate will be in charge of the day-to-day book keeping function, with our Financial Controller being present one day a week. We have a well-defined system in place and the successful candidate must be self-motivated and willing to learn about the association’s systems and structure. The role is 37.5 hours a week; NSA office hours are 9am-5.30pm. Salary and final responsibilities by negotiation dependent on experience and capability. Applications close at end of play on Wednesday 22nd February 2017. NSA Communications Support Officer - part-time maternity cover role

This role will support the work of the NSA communications team during a period of maternity leave by a permanent staff member. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing Communications Officer to support NSA members and promote the organisation within the agricultural community. This is an exciting and varied role with involvement in all NSA communication routes, including the highly-valued NSA Weekly Email Update, websites, social media, special projects and press engagement. NSA is looking for someone with strong written communication skills who is confident with IT, websites and social media, and competent at preparing and presenting information in different written formats according to the delivery platform and audience. It would be preferable, although not essential, for the successful candidate to have experience with adding content to websites, using web-based mailing platforms, scheduling social media and editing website videos. Training can be provided for anyone without prior experience but they must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn. An interest in sheep farming / agriculture is preferred. The role is 22.5 hours a week. NSA office hours are 9am-5.30pm so the role would be three days a week (to include a Friday) or an alternative to be agreed with NSA (which would also need to include a Friday). Applications close at end of play on Wednesday 22nd February 2017. Download a full job description and application form below or contact Julie Jennings at NSA Head Office for more information. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 28th February with the intention of having someone in post before Monday 3rd April. A nine-month contract will be offered initially.
