Halal and Exports: Dispelling the myths and exploring the opportunities

NSA South West Region is pleased to invite members and those with an interest in sheep farming to an evening meeting on 'Halal and Exports: Dispelling the myths and exploring the opportunities' in conjunction with Exmoor Hill Farming Network, The Sheep Group and AHDB. 

Taking place on Monday 2nd October from 6.30pm to 9pm at North Molton Sports and Community Centre, North  Molton, Devon, EX36 3QP.

Dr Awal Fuseini, AHDB Halal Sector Manager, and Dr Phil Hadley, AHDB International Trade Development Director, will join us to tell us about the importance of the halal sector and exports to the lamb market.

Awal will cover what Halal means along with the current value of this market both nationally and internationally. He will dispel some of the myths around how the sector operates, giving confidence to farmers who want to capitalise on this growing market.

Phil will give us an insight into the importance of exports to our industry and how they are changing, highlighting existing and emerging opportunities.
