Record total of sheep breed exhibits at NSA Scot Sheep 2016
A record total of 43 sheep breed exhibitors, 30 breed societies and 13 individual breeders/companies, will be on display at NSA Scot Sheep 2016 to be held at Blythbank Estate, West Linton, Peeblesshire, courtesy of host farmers Glenrath Farms Ltd on Wednesday 1st June.

New report reveals wider consequences of releasing lynx in the UK countryside
An industry roundtable discussion in London today (Friday 8th April) marked the release of a new report by the National Sheep Association (NSA) on The wider consequences of the introduction of Eurasian lynx to the UK. The report, providing researched evidence about the potential impact of introducing the big cat to the countryside, is in response to plans by Lynx Trust UK to apply for release licences in England and/or Scotland later this year.

Ewe hogg sale to be a feature of NSA Scot Sheep 2016
15 different breeds of ewe hoggs will be on offer in pairs as part of a special select show and sale at NSA Scot Sheep on Wednesday 1st June 2016. Scotland's one-day biennial national sheep event is organised by NSA Scottish Region, with RBS as main sponsor, and is being hosted by the Campbell family at Blythbank, Penicuik, near Edinburgh later this year.
